Delivering real-world clinical trials through GP and pharmacy networks.
Supported by a trusted network of GPs and community pharmacies, Co-MedX connects local populations with sponsors and CROs to deliver patient-centred clinical research in primary care — safely, compliantly, and at scale.
Real-world settings
High-street, supermarket and GP-linked pharmacies.
Study types
Feasibility studies, observational cohorts, pragmatic RCTs and device studies.
Support
Participant recruitment and trial delivery.
GP–Pharmacy Research Network
A connected primary-care research network linking GPs, community pharmacies, patients and sponsors through Co-MedX.
Who we are
A bridge between primary care and clinical research sponsors.
Co-MedX is a UK-based, physician-led clinical research start-up dedicated to making high-quality clinical trials accessible through GP and pharmacy networks. We combine hands-on research experience with digital tools to support sponsors and CROs across the full study lifecycle.
What we do
- Design primary-care-feasible study pathways that integrate smoothly into real-world workflows.
- Onboard, train and support GPs and community pharmacies as Participant Identification Centres (PICs) or research-ready study sites.
- Coordinate recruitment, consent and data collection with strong governance and clear documentation standards.
- Provide transparent performance reporting and insights at both GP and pharmacy level.
- Operate a state-of-the-art central London clinic for site visits and trial procedures.

Who we work with
Aligned incentives for every stakeholder across the primary-care research pathway.
We support the entire ecosystem surrounding GP- and pharmacy-based research — ensuring that roles, responsibilities and benefits are clearly defined for GPs, pharmacies, sponsors and participants.
Community GPs and pharmacies
New revenue streams, professional development and stronger patient relationships through participation in high-quality research — supported by practical, hands-on guidance from our team.
Sponsors & CROs
Access diverse primary-care populations, accelerate recruitment timelines and generate real-world adherence data by conducting research where patients naturally seek healthcare.
Patients & communities
Safer, more inclusive trials that minimise travel burden and integrate research into familiar care settings, with clear communication and a strong focus on participant experience.
How it works
A simple three-step pathway from expression of interest to active recruitment.
-
1
Expression of interest
Contact us to join our Primary Care Research Network and explore opportunities to participate in upcoming clinical studies.
-
2
Site onboarding & training
When a suitable study becomes available, we identify and onboard participating GP practices and pharmacies, provide GCP-aligned training and study materials, and ensure governance, contracting and documentation requirements are in place.
-
3
Recruitment & delivery support
During active recruitment we support sites with screening, documentation and data capture, while providing sponsors with transparent performance and quality reporting.
